Just a quick note on the time-validity of new registered accounts.

When you register a new account, you will only have a short time to do the following:

(1) ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT.... From when you apply for a new account here, and you click the 'Submit' button, you will be allocated Seven Days in which to activate your account. Your account can be activated by opening the E-mail that was sent to you, and in there will be an activation link / key. Click the link to activate your account. If after the 7 days have expired, you have not activated your new account, then your account is at risk from being deleted. This is to try and prevent a pile-up of un-activated accounts from littering the user database.



(2) MAKE YOUR FIRST POST.... From when you apply for a new account here, and you click the 'Submit' button, you will be allocated Three Months in which to make your first post. If after the three months have expired, you have not made your first post, then your account is at risk from being deleted. This is to try and prevent a pile-up of zero-post accounts from littering the user database.

As an example....

Example 1:

A user registers an account on 1st April, but has E-mail problems, and then receives the activation link on the fourth day. He has three days remaining to activate the account. He activates his account on the fifth day, and succeeds in step one above. He now has until 1st July to make his first post....... On 20th June, he makes his first post, and now has succeeded in step two above. This user's account is now 'safe'.


Example 2:

A user registers an account on 1st May, and activates his account within a few hours, and succeeds in step one above. He now has until 1st August to make his first post....... On 2nd August, one day after the three month 'first-post-deadline', he still has not made a first post, and then his account is deleted. This user must register for another new account.


Example 3:

A user registers an account on 1st June, but forgets to activate the account! After nine days, it is found that this account is still not activated, and gets deleted. This user must register for another new account.

So there we are folks!

This is just to try and stop a pile-up of unactivated accounts and zero-post accounts from littering the user database.
